Marine Power Advanced Calcium

Marine Power Advanced Calcium It is used for self-preparation of concentrated solutions for lifting the level of calcium in the aquarium. The preparation is mainly intended for tanks with a predominance of SPS / LPS corals. In the case of lower calcium consumption, we recommend using a preparation in the form of a finished fluid - Marine Power Easy Calcium.

Meaning of CA in the aquarium
Calcium is very important for the correct growth of calcifying corals (SPS / LPS) and for many marine organisms, such as snails, mussels. These organisms collect calcium directly from the water, therefore too much calcium deficit may not only slow down their growth, but also negatively affect their condition and health.

Optimal CA level 
The level of calcium in coral reef waters is about 390-420 mg / l. In most domestic sea reservoirs, the CA level should be maintained at a permanent standard, in the range of 380-440 mg / l.
 

Application of Marine Power Advanced Calcium
In a correctly functioning marine aquarium, CA constantly defeats, mainly due to calcium carbonate consumption. The carbonates are consumed not only by calcifying corals (SPS and LPS), but also by molluscs (snails, mussels) and limestone algae. Calcium loss should be complemented daily using Marine Power Advanced Calcium. Calcium consumption depends on many factors, such as: water temperature, lighting, a type of stock in aquarium and others, and its level requires regular inspection. The more optimal conditions in the aquarium, the faster the corals will grow and the faster they will consume calcium from the water. Therefore, CA supplementation must be constantly controlled and adjusted to the needs of aquarium. We recommend Marine Power Xact Test Calcium to determine the calcium level. Thanks to it, you can easily determine the current level of CA and its loss, eg during the week.

Determining the average daily loss CA
If the aquarium mainly floods the calcification corals, the daily CA consumption can be significant and may differ every day, which is why we recommend calculating the average daily loss ca. To do this, two CA measurements should be made at a distance of 4-5 days. It is important to make both measurements more or less at the same time of the day and to change the water (if performed every week) has been made at least 24 hours from both measurements. Thanks to this, it will not significantly affect the result. In a properly functioning aquarium, the first CA result should be higher than the other.
Then we subtract the second result from the first, and the obtained value is divided by the number of days (minus 1), in the intervals we made measurements.
Example:
Day 1: Ca = 420 mg / l
Day 5: Ca = 360 mg / l
Fall Ca = 420 - 360 = 60/4 days = 15 mg / L a day

The result means if you need to increase the daily supplementation of CA. If the resulting result is equal to 0, the supplementation is not required. It should be remembered that CA consumption will grow along with the growth of corals and other invertebrates in the aquarium. That is why such a process should be repeated every few weeks.
Preparation of the preparation and dosage
Marine Power Advanced Calcium is perfectly suitable for use in popular supplementation programs.

Preparation of 1 L of the preparation:
1. Weigh 55 g of the preparation using the kitchenweight.
2. In the vicinity vessel vessel, pour 800 ml of rodi water at room temperature (20˚C).
3. Pour the frequently weighted 55 g of Marine Power Advanced Calcium and stirther to completely dissolve the crystals.
4. Complement the vessel with water Rodi to 1 L (1000 ml).
5. If you need more fluid, use the table below (use only Rodi water).

2 liters of fluid - 110 g of the preparation / 1600 ml of water, complete with water to 2000 ml
3 liters of liquid - 165 g of the preparation / 2400 ml of water, complete with water to 3000 ml
4 liters of fluid - 220 g of the preparation / 3200 ml of water, complete with water to 4000 ml
5 liters of fluid - 275 g of the preparation / 4000 ml of water, complete with water to 5000 ml

Note: Both excess and calcium deficiency can be harmful to marine invertebrates, therefore regularly control the level of calcium in the aquarium.
