Seachem Equilibrium 600g
Equlibrium is a preparation designed specifically for plant aquariums aimed at providing the right amount of minerals. It does not contain sodium and chlorine (whose elevated level can be harmful to plants). The product is suitable for use with each type of distilled water, deionized or obtained from the reverse filter osmosis.
Increases the total hardness and stabilizes it on the optimal level of balance with carbonate hardness. KH adjustment It is recommended to use Alkaline Buffer. In contrast to competitive Equlibrium products does not contain sodium chloride (kitchen salt). Both of these elements do not belong to quickly used by plants, which more, the presence of chlorine can even hurt more than to help the tank flora. Competitive preparations often contain sodium chloride (which reduces production costs), which after entering the aquarium can impair plant growth. In addition, sodium does not play any role in the adjustment of carbonate hardness. Equlibrium contains only such calcium, magnesium and potassium salts that not only support fish metabolism, but are also beneficial for plants. In order to increase total hardness of 1MEQ / L (3DH) when setting a new tank or water substitutions, it is recommended to add 16g (1 tablespoon) of the preparation for every 80 liters of the aquarium volume. Equlibrium can be poured directly into the water, although more effective way to dose the preparation is to mix it with about liter of water. The resulting solution is slightly whitish, and added to the tank causes a delicate turbidity, disappearing after 15-30 minutes.
Tips
Do not add an EQLIBRIUM when completing the evaporated water. The preparation is intended for use with distilled, deionized water or from the reverse osmosis filter. In the case of water from another source, it is recommended to measure the overall hardness. Plants show a different tolerance to GH value, however, it is recommended to maintain it at 1-2meq / l (3-6 DH). Similar values concern carbonate hardness.
