Aquael Filter Container Bioceramax 600 Multikani

Aquael Bioceramax is a line of biological cartridges intended for water filtration in freshwater and sea aquariums, Paludaria, aquaterrare and terrari pools.

It has the shape of rolls made of porous ceramic plastic (Bioceramax 600 - 600m2). These inserts are placed behind mechanical filters and from chemical filters. The manufacturer recommends replacing 1/3 of the volume of ceramics after about 1 year due to the crushing of the porous roll structure and reducing the surface for the development of bacteria.

Bioceramax is used to maintain the breeding of nitrosomonas bacteria "feeding" ammonia and nitrospira, which "likes" nitrites. These bacteria oxidize ammonia and nitrites into the form of nitrates that are not indifferent but much safer for the residents of aquariums. It is not allowed to wash the cartridges from the tap because we destroy the grunge strains of valuable bacteria. We use water dropped from the aquarium!
