A water pond filter adapted to work in immersion

Maxi series filters can be used in water or ponds. The AQUAEL offer includes three types: Maxi - recommended to tanks with a capacity of up to 5000 L, Maxi 1 Recommended for tanks with a capacity of up to 10,000 L and SuperMaxi for use in tanks with a capacity of up to 25,000 l.

Depending on the method of installation, maxi joint filters can be used as:

• external filter, placed on the edge of the eyelet or over the flow of waterfall,
• The immersion filter, placed on the bottom of the tank together with the pump mounted on the cover, where the fountain function is simultaneously.

Contents of the set

Maxi filters are equipped as standard in a set of filter media: brushes, sponge, bio max balls and coconut mat. Maxi filters have all elements needed to mount on the outside and inside the tank. The set in addition to the filter contains a PVC tube with a rubber knee, 3 nuts, 3 screws and a stand.

How it works

A set of filtration media included with Maxi filters guarantees complete mechanical and biological filtration.

The UV lamp can also be installed to the Maxi filter, which further purifies water from algae and protects against its bloom. UV lamp is not standard Equipment for Maxi filter.

If the MAXI filter is used as a fountain, place the pump on the filter cover using the pump base. To outlet the pump, place the splashing nozzle, and to screw in the tip in the filter equipment. Then we combine the pump with composite elbows with a suction pipe, which gains water already filtered from the filter bottom and throws it through a nozzle above the water mirror.

When using the Maxi filter as an external filter, the purified water flows out the lower filter holes and is brought to the hoses to the water mesh. The location of the filter above the waterfall allows you to use one of the lower tips on a waterfall or a cascade. Please note that the suction space by the water pump to filter and the outlet of the filtered water has been sufficiently remote from each other.

Brushes are very good for pre-purification, i.e. mechanical filtration. At the same time, they are an excellent ground for the development of living cultures of bacteria.

A co-cellular sponge is the next step of mechanical filtration. It enables particularly easy development of bacterial cultures responsible for removing biological pollutants from the tank.

Coconut mat, thanks to the appropriate structure, is a perfect material for mechanical filtering and is a great ground for bacterial cultures responsible for biological filtration.

Polypropylene balls have reasons and small holes on both poles. The essence of action is the diversity of oxygen conditions for biological processes. On the external bull surface there are oxygen conditions beneficial for the oxidation processes of organic compounds. The inner surface of the sphere acts as an anoxic microreager, where the processes of reduction of organic compounds occur, which in turn allows for very effective water purification.
