The bucket external filter has 2 large removable baskets for filter cartridges, fully equipped with filter media.

The filter is already equipped with filter cartridges:

• bio-sponge - Mechanical contribution and biological insertion. High-acting, biological sponge provides excellent mechanical filtration, cleanses water from any dirt and impurities. In addition, thanks to a special microporous structure, it has enormous active surfaces and is an excellent habitat for nitrification bacteria (biological filtration).
• Filter non-woven - This basic filter cartridge provides excellent filtration, even the smallest micro-pollutants will be removed from the water
• active carbon - high-quality granulated, basic contribution to aquarist filters, both internal and external, is a great filtration medium with extremely high porosity. The structure of activated carbon pores enables adsorption processes on it to many substances dissolved in water. It has the ability to remove malicious and inorganic substances from the water. It absorbs heavy metals and removes color and fragrances. Thanks to its properties, optically clarifies water.
• bio-ceramics - The basic biological contribution is a great habitat for useful nitrification bacteria (m.in. Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter) cleaning water from toxic nitrogen compounds - process toxic ammonia and nitrogen ions. A huge active surface, which creates a complicated channel network and pores. The specific structure and shape provides a very good flow of water, and thus proper oxygenation and nutrition of the biological deposit.
