A natural substrate based on the volcanic lava is perfectly suited for every freshwater aquarium. In order to ensure optimal conditions for growing plants, AF Lava Soil has been enriched with valuable minerals. This natural substrate gradually reflects the water contained in it, and thanks to high porosity, it favors the settlement of useful microorganisms. The special AF LAVA SOIL structure facilitates the rooting of aquarium plants and prevents anaerobic zones in which toxic bacteria producing toxic hydrogen sulphide are developing. It guarantees better circulation of water at the bottom of the tank, which significantly facilitates even distribution of nutrients and improves their absorption by plants. The substrate is thoroughly rinsed, nevertheless, just after the aquarium, a light turbidity can occur. The turbidity is natural, does not cause any side effects and gives way after about 12 hours. Due to the high content of minerals, in order to avoid their accumulation, we recommend limiting the dispensing of microelement fertilizers for the first half year of the tank function.

How to use:

Filling about 7 cm on the bottom of the AF Lava Soil substrate layer, pour them with water to a level of approx. 10 cm, then plant plants and make up with aquarium with water.
