LED lamp Leddy Slim Marine Day & Night It is designed to illuminate sea open tanks. It contains carefully selected LEDs that provide an ideal illumination of the aquarium guaranteeing excellent living conditions for its residents and a unique visual effect. Its flat, futuristic shape and trendy, white or black color make it perfectly composed with modern aquarium tanks and looks great in every interior. In addition, it is universal - sliding brackets allow it to be installed on non-standard sizes tanks. It can also hang it over the aquarium to the ceiling or a special frame with the accessory of the Leddy Slim Hanger set.

The lamp has been designed and produced in Poland at the AQUAEL factory, which since 1984 provides aquarist products full of well-designed solutions.

LED lamp Leddy Slim Marine Day & Night It is equipped with a Day & Night function. Works in three work modes: Day / Daybreak / Night. Day is the basic and strongest light, to illuminate the aquarium during the day. DayBreak is a reduced living power of up to 50% plus blue light. It works as the first night mode and when feeding fish - especially if you have a shimmer cast. Night is a blue glow that allows you to have a unique observation of the aquarium after dark, including fish and animals about the nightlife of life. Day & Night lighting beautifully disposes the arrangement in the aquarium both during the day and at night, and also make the interior of the room in which the tank is located will be more cozy. Changing the DAY / DAYBREAK / NIGHT operating mode after switching and switching on the switch module over no longer than 5 seconds. Switching directly to Day mode takes place after switching off the module for more than 5 seconds and re-enabled. It is best to automate this process using a modern Socket Duo aquarium controller.

White and actinic light

The marine reef aquarium should be illuminated by two types of light that differ in color, i.e. - speaking professional - color temperature. Color temperature This concept was invented by physicists-theoretics. This is a temperature to haste the hypothetical "body perfect black" to make a light with a specific color. She expresses her in Kelvin. The main type of light used in the reef aquarium is a white light. It provides energy necessary for photosynthesis for Zooksantelli, and it perfectly reproduces the beautiful colors of sea animals.

The second type of light necessary in the reef aquarium is the so-called Activic light, intensely blue to slightly purple with a color temperature16000-24000 K. They emit the LEDy Slim Actinic LED lamps that are complementary to LED Lamp Slim Marine lamps.

How many lights in the aquarium?

How much light does the reef aquarium requires? Usually, the conversion of its power on a literic aquarium is used. If the LED lamps are used for optimal, a quantity is considered from 0.6 to 0.72 in for each liter of water assuming that the tank is not higher than 55-60 cm (in the case of higher tanks, this amount increases rapidly). About half should fall on white light, and the rest on the actinic light. Along with the acquired experience and preferences of the aquarium owner, the proportions of white and blue light can be modified by adjusting them to the desired pace of coral growth and the stage of the tank development.

How to combine white light with actinine? Well, this first should shine over a day continuously for 8-10 hours, and this is the second for 10-14 hours. It looks so that the actual light should be switched on first, after approx. Hour or two should reach the white light. After mentioned 8-10 hours, white light turn off, and the actinic light should go out about an hour or two after it. It is best to automate this process using a modern Socket Duo aquarium controller.

"The day" in the aquarium can virtually any part of the day. If the tank stands far from the windows and it is illuminated only with artificial light, the time to turn on and off lighting can be virtually any. It's best to just adapt them to our preferences and hours in which we are usually present in the apartment (eg "dawn" at 15:00 and "Twilight" at 1:00). We can then enjoy the beauty of the eyelashes illuminated, own "a piece of the ocean".
