Magnesium is necessary to maintain the balance of the tank. Its level is about 1300 mg / l in natural sea water.
It is used together with calcium in the construction of coral skeletons and in the development of coral algae. In low level of calcium magnesium, it is faster. It can also be associated with phosphates and do it inaccessible to algae.

Magnesium dose 1200/1450 mg / L is necessary to guarantee optimal and solid construction of coral skeletons and limestone algae. Magnesium consumption depends on the population of the tank, the lighting and the availability of all trace elements.

Promagnesium is used, preferably dissolved in reverse osmosie or demineralized water. The addition of 10 g Promagnesium in 100l water corresponds to the increase of magnesium concentrations by 9.9 mg / l.
