1. Preparation: Submerge stone in water for 10-15 minutes until the air bubbles are coming out.

2. Sharpening: Starting from a lower gradation stone (eg 400). Use liquid, sleepy movements while maintaining the blade at a fixed angle of 10-20 °.

3. Smoothing: Go to stone with higher gradation (1000, 3000 or 8,000) to smooth and polish the blade.

4. Maintenance: After use, clean the stones and leave for natural dry.
