Auxiliary pumps on reactors
This is a very useful application for FMM. Place the flow sensor on the device, such as a carbon / gfo / biopellet reactor and has many purposes. First of all, you will know if your pump does not flow properly or does not work at all. Then you can easily tune the flow to the reactor by observing the dashboard on your apeks. Finally, you can know when the reactor is clogged by a detrite or optionally a channel that appeared as a result of an alert on your appse or by monitoring the dashboard.
Place the flow sensor on the device, connect it to the FMM module and thoroughly check the waterflow (any aquarium) passing through this sensor. Flow sensors in the working industry use a turbine or vane-wheel mechanism (depending on the model) to measure the flow.
It is important to remember that the flow rate that will be reported by the user from the flow sensors will probably be significantly lower than expected or, or which has been printed on the label or documentation of the pump. This is due to the head of pressure loss from physical differences in heights, long routes, restrictions, such as ball valves, fittings, tees like elbows and reducers, and finally use LOC line up to the entry point to their tanks. One Port Free - add a different sensor!
FMK has three flow sensors, but FMM has a total of four ports. This means that one port is free to use for a different purpose. Buy additional flow sensors (also available in sizes 2 "and 1/4") or select one of the following options and add more functions!
 
Optical water sensor (optional)
There are many useful goals for the aquarium level sensors. They can help under construction auto-top-off, monitoring levels in complementary containers and even automate seawater containers. Traditionally, float switches were the most commonly used types of these devices, however, they are susceptible to all kinds of failures. On the other hand, solid, optically controlled sensors used in FMM are much reliable and reliable.
Optical sensors operate using an emitter and a LED receiver in a clean casing, so that when it becomes wet, the light bends and does not end the circuit.
 
Easy to use
Of course, you can always add water level sensors to your apeks - but it was more complicated than most users. Now with FMM and optical water level sensors are enough to connect to them! It does not require disconnecting the cable, there is no need to use the switch!

DC24 Accessory Port Built-in!
FMM has another trick this is a sleeve. In addition to four FMM sensor ports, it also has DC24 accessories port and power input. This adds another controlled slot to the APEX kit.
