The green zone on the scale of the hydrometer shows the perfect water density (salinity - SG) for marine animals.

In reef aquariums, salinity should be between 1.022 and 1.025.
The hydrometer measures water density with precision to + / - 0.0005 while maintaining 25 ° C - a green zone also on a thermometer.
For accurate density reading in other temperature ranges, on a thermometer scale on one side are degrees Celsius, after a second digit, if you need to correct the result at a given temperature
