Aerometer for precise salinity measurement is a compact size of the density meter (aerometer), which is used for fast and precise measurements of sea water. In reef aquariums, salinity should be between 1.022 and 1.025. Salimeter has a measurement range from 1,000 to 1.040 with an accuracy of +/- 0.0005 at 25 degrees Celsius. A normal range from 1.020 to 1.026 is marked in green. Because the salinity depends on the temperature, the salimeter has a built-in thermometer, which will help you use the compensation table if necessary. Usually, the temperature in the tank varies from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius. This temperature range is also marked on a green color scale.
