The Lafomed Premium Line LFSS18AA LCD is a Class B medical autoclave with an 18-litre chamber, designed for sterilising invasive medical instruments and suitable for various professional settings including hospitals, dental and ophthalmological practices, biological research, veterinary, and certain non-medical uses.
This autoclave is intended for sterilising invasive medical devices such as surgical instruments, dental tools, and syringes. It can sterilise packaged (single and multi-layer) and unpackaged solid, porous, and recessed items according to EN 13060:2004+A2:2010 standards, helping to prevent cross-contamination. It is not designed for sterilising liquids.
The device is recommended for hospital wards, dental and ophthalmological clinics, biological research institutes, and also suits non-medical environments like hairdressing, beauty salons, tattoo studios, aesthetic medicine, and veterinary applications.
The LFSS18AA features a durable 304-grade stainless steel chamber measuring 25 cm in diameter and 31 cm in depth, accommodating up to three trays within its 18-litre capacity. It includes an LCD display that shows time, temperature, pressure, and cycle progress.
The autoclave offers 10 automatic programmes: seven sterilisation cycles (including 121°C and 134°C modes, and a 135°C prion programme), two test cycles (Bowie & Dick and vacuum), and one cleaning programme. It also allows for user-defined programmes with adjustable parameters such as time, drying, and vacuum cycles.
Additional functions include preheating, temperature maintenance for up to 8 hours, a shortcut for last used programme, autostart scheduling with delay options, and control over drying time, enabling rapid sterilisation cycles down to 7 minutes.
Safety and operational features include a self-diagnostic system, water quality sensor, double door lock mechanism (mechanical and electronic), and a high-quality replaceable bacterial filter. The device has built-in tanks for distilled clean water and used water with drainage at front or rear. An integrated thermal printer requiring no ink and a USB port enable printing and digital saving of cycle data. The interface is in Polish.
The autoclave is certified to CE 1023 and ISO 13485 standards and complies with BS EN 13060:2014+A1:2018. It operates up to 137 ℃ at pressures between 0.21 and 0.23 MPa, with safety valve openings from 0.24 to 0.26 MPa.
The product comes with a 24-month warranty independent of cycle count, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months after a paid technical inspection before the initial warranty expires. A technical passport is included.
A nationwide network of authorised Lafomed service centres provides warranty and post-warranty repairs, annual inspections, selected on-site servicing, replacement devices during repairs, and prompt support.
